What is the building used for?
Raw timber processing, storage, door manufacturing
What were the issues we solved?
Barrel Roof with steep, nearly vertical edges that were incredibly difficult to maneuver on. The problem was tearing off and installing on such a surface. The roof had various leaks at many different locations, it had 2 roof systems in some areas and 3 roofs systems in other. The original roof was a combination of torch down and shingle.
How did the products solve those issues?
The TPO was designed for the high slope application; the real savior on this project was our hard working foreman and roofers.
How long will this system last?
30 years if maintained well
Will they see any savings in utility bills?
In the summer time yes, although the building is open air to an extent. So not as much savings as an office building would see.
Anything unique about the installed products?
The TPO is high slope TPO which is manufactured differently than the standard flat roof TPO membrane.
Crew size?
3-10
